Hi Bennett,
On May 8, 1888, Peters' widow, Rachael, filed for a pension from Franklin County. Her testimony states "was wounded through the head at the battle of Gettysburg on 3d July 1863 & died in a few days from the effects of said wound". This document was signed by Judge George D. Peters of Franklin County.
