999/99/94 Middle initial “H” not confirmed by any sources. When I combined the the NA CSR [42Va: 4] files of Wm Heard and Wm H. Judd in the 1st ed, I assumed “H” to be the middle initial.

The source for W.H. Heard's date and place of death/burial is: 286a -- “Buried Nearby: The Final Resting Place of Some 42nd VA Members,” The Campbell Crier: Newsletter of the 42nd Virginia Infantry Regiment, David Mosely, March 2005, Volume 5, No. 2 (April 2005). Can you help me decipher the conflict between this information and the date and place of death you have for W.H. Hurd, Jr.?
