George W. has to be your man. Here are two of the cards in his file.

George Martin

Card #23

Office Provost Marshal
Kearneyville April 24/63

Provost Marshal
Martinsburg VA

Sir

One of the prisoners of War whom I sent to you yesterday. I have subsequently understood is in very delicate health, having the consumption, which ????? him entirely for any Military Service whatever. Suggest Col Smith the propriety of parding [sic] him as it would only be an act of humanity.

Very Respectfully
Your Obedient Servant
/s/
Capt. & Provost Marshal

Card #20

Roll of Prisoners of War, paroled at Fort McHenry, Md, April 28, 1863
Roll Dated Not Dated
Captured at Jefferson Co., Va. April 23, 186_
