The history-sites.com message boards provide a speedy exchange of valuable Civil War information for 25 states, linking those with questions to those with answers. Compiled Service Records and pensions, which once took several months to acquire, can be ordered in a fraction of the time. [I wish this service had been available when I was filling out all those NATF-80 forms to snail-mail to the National Archives!] Civil War books and authors are given a forum. On the Virginia Message Board you can read comments and replies from John Chapla and Dr. Art Bergeron—what a deal!
