Can you please tell me where the heck I can get a copy of Weaver's Index? I have the entire Howard series and an index would be invaluable.
Also to elaborate on the migration of Virginians to Indiana; there is a community just about as far east of Indianapolis as Ladoga is west, called Middletown. So many people migrated from Shenandoah and Rockingham counties to that town just before the turn of the 20th century that the local high school is named "Shenandoah" and the mascot is a "Raider". The mural on the gymnasium wall is of a Confederate soldier. My own family came there in 1876 to, according to my great grandmother, escape the poverty of the post-War Valley. I have two Confederate ancestors in the cemetery there.
