Chris;

I found you recent book on the internet and am ordering it for future reference since I have so many ancestors from Georgia and Florida who fought and some died during the War Between the States.

First, thanks again for the internment information on GG Grandfather Ashley Boyett in the Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond.

In the previous response you indicated that Ashley Boyett's two sons Francis and William of the 50th Georgia were also interned in the Hollywood Cemetery. Is it possible that more information about how they died and which section of the cemetery they are buried is available? Ashley Boyett had one other son who served in the 8th FL Infantry Regiment. He lived and died in 1925 in Taylor County Florida.

The Boyett family was from Brooks County GA and Ashley Boyett was born in Wayne County North Carolina.

Odly, GG Grandfather Ashley Boyett and Grandfather James C. Barrs served in the same 1st Georgia Regiment and were captured at Ft. McAllister Georgia by Sherman's troops on their march to the sea campaign.

Even more odly, James C. Barrs' son, Isaac Newton Barrs, would marry John Ashley Boyett's daughter Mary Elizabeth Boyett in 1873 in Brooks County Georgia.

Thanks in advance,
Al Barrs
