Thanks for taking the time to explain the publishing process. For those who haven't had the experience, the process of review and correction can be maddening. It can almost be like rewriting your original work. The number of errors and omissions found after your manuscript returns from the printer warns you that a second reading and even more red ink lies ahead.

It's really more than the average person can manage.

There has to be a better way of getting research and writing into print. One would hope that the ability to work with digital documents would eliminate most of the time and effort involved with typesetting.
