With all due respect, the first message I posted was from National Park Service Civil War Soldier and Sailor database on line; the second message was paraphrased from a Compendium of the Confederate Armies -- Virginia -- by Stewart Sifakis, A Guide to Virginia Military Organizations, 1861-1865 by Lee A Wallace, Jr. and a google search. If I did copy what you wrote, then I apologize for not having given you credit, but I do not recall going to any rootsweb site for this information. I have stated the same information, in different ways myself and the inforation is accurate.
