I just returned from my first visit to the Gettysburg battlefield in 35 years. There have been some changes. I didn't see any memorial to the 42nd VA anyplace. Did I just miss it or does it not exist? I would certainly like to start a fund to extablish a memorial for the 42nd VA since my Great-great Grandfather, John Mangus was a member of the Dixie Grays of the 42nd. Any ideas? Also, is anyone going to try to keep this web-site going? Is has been very helpful to me in my research.
