Blake's Scouts, CSA. Anybody out there know of this unit? It was not associated with any state troops, but was organized by the Confederate Government and there were 4 Virginia soldiers named Blake in it. I have Blake ancestors and ran across this while searching for my 41st Va. ancestors in Southampton Co., Va. I found one other member of Blake's Scouts, named Elisha Upshaw, buried in La. in 1888. The Blake boys were John, T.R., J.F., and S.D. Blake.
Any help would be thankful.
