Seems to me you might want to spend a few days at Carlisle Barracks. Below are a few of their holdings re the units of General Bee's brigade. I'm sure you might find some other interesting documents for the other units involved, namely, Confederate brigades of Jackson, Bee, Barton, Evans & Cocke. On the Union sides are those of Franklin, Porter, Wilcox, Sherman and Herman. All involved on July 21, 1600 hrs., around Henry House & Hill, Plate 24, "The West Point Atlas of American Wars," BGen. Vincent J. Esposito.
Also, Vol. 1 of the Battles and Leaders of the Civil War, p. 229, is John D. Imboden's "Incidents of the First Bull Run."
