Mr. Dickinson quotes from some McCausland papers throughout the book, but he doesn't specifically cite them in the bibliography. The only sources he list for manuscripts is the Rosanna Blake Collection at Marshall Univ, Huntington, WV; the Roy Bird Cook Papers at WVU, Morgantown; Fred Lambert Papers, Marshall Univ.; and the unpublished diary of James D. Sedinger, Co. E, 8th VA Cavalry, in the State Archives in Charleston. So I'm assuming in one of those collections there are some of McCausland's own reminiscences. Good luck.
