Thomas Dellinger, 2nd Lieutenant, Company F, 3rd Regiment, 7th Brigade, Virginia Militia, enlisted July 19, 1861 at Mount Jackson, served with Army until the 9th of September resigning his commission, detailed to work at Columbia Furnace October 1, 1861

The 136th Regiment Virginia Militia (also known as 3rd Regiment, 7th Brigade, Virginia Militia) was called out by proclamation of the Governor of Virginia, dated July 13, 1861. Companies A to H are found to have served until September 9, 1861 when discharged. They were again called out by order of Gen. Johnston, dated October 21, 1861; mustered in for six months from various dates in November, 1861, and discharged in the spring of 1862.

Serving also in Company F were William L., William and Augustine Dellinger. Also Simon Dellinger served in an unknown company
