It appears that Hargrove Blues remained in the Petersburg area during the time in question. Most likely guarding transportation routes, military stores and/or prisoners. Various enlistment and pay vouchers for the Company in this time frame indicate "Petersburg" as their location.

Additional.. The Confederate Army reorganized in May 1862... Some units that were affected by various enlistment restrictions or conscription act laws, were disbanded. Others after their one year term was expiring.. some reenlisted.. Some did not... if the Company in question was thereafter sub-strength... It was not uncommon to find them compiled or transfered elsewhere into other existing companies... or given alternate duties till back up to proper strength...
