I read you had an ancestor in the 2nd regiment VA Calv, I did as well, A William Fountain Graves. I am searching for more info on him as well as his brother who also served with him, John P. Graves. He was supposed to have mustered out at Appomatox, and been promoted to Lt. Colonel, I think he was in company F at the end.
Any pics, info websites, ot such would be great, I have tried e-mailing several civil war re-enacting groups etc from bedford co Va where this company was from and have received no reply so I'm not getting very far! I'm the last of this line of the fam on this side and unfortunatly no one saw fit to right much down!
