Thanks so very much for the information of Crockett Foglesong belonging to the 29nth. Va. Infantry Co. B.
I had some information about him,but not his military unit, also have a copy of a letter he wrote from Ivor
Station in Southhampton County,Va.( the date looks like April 4.1863 ???) to his cousin Margaret Foglesong.

Crockett tells about being in General Pickett's Division and that General Longstreet's Corps is at this place.
Ivor Station is located between Petersburg and Suffolk,Va.He also writes that Colonel Giles did not obey the
orders to go to Wytheville or the Salt Works. So they marched from Petersburg to Ivor Station.

Next,Crockett states that they belong to General Corse's Brigade and they had caught two women that were
spies for the Yankees, having been paid a thousand dollars for their effort. He says he would give fifty dollars
to be home ten days so that he could go to the saceramental meeting at Sharon ( near Ceres in Bland Co. ).
I remain your cousin until deth, farewell.

Hope you all enjoy reading this.
