Re: John H. Boon(e) 1863, 7th Va Cav.

JR,

Yes, that is my John H. Boone, (from the old Hardy Co, "Old" Va./presend day
West Virginia), area. But I don't believe he died in 1860 like the Ancestry
submitter put down... But rather died between October of 1861 - July 1863.

(For the fact that): John and Ruth had a daughter Virginia Bell (born) July
22nd, 1862 in Hardy Co, "Old" Va. So this would prove, that John H. Boon(e)
was still alive (9 months earlier); by late October to mid-November of 1861,
and possibly up until July of 1863. Because John's (widow) Ruth Boone filed
a claim for him, dated on July 13th, 1863. And it mentions his same 7th Va.,
Regiment; Harris' Co/Ashby's Cavalry Unit, on the claim.

John's (eldest son) Joseph Jasper Boone, was my Great-Great-Great-Grandfather.

Thanks,
Rebecca Wilson
