Hello, there. I'm trying to look for my G.G.G.G.Grandfather John H. Boon(e)
who fought in the 7th Virginia Regiment; Harris' Company/Ashby's Cavalry.
He lived in the Hardy and Hampshire Counties, (between 1850-1860); and must
have died "while in battle," sometime around (1863); because his widowed wife
Ruth E. Boone filed some type of claim for him, dated: July 13th, 1863, but
it didn't tell what battle he last fought for "or" died in... And I'm not
certain of his exact death date, during "whatever" battle he died in...
Any helpful information, I would be very grateful and appreciative...
