there is only one known confederate cavalry kepi in existance that is yellow. it was sold by gary hendershott last year and came with the uniform. there were not many of these as the survival rate would indicate. more artillery (red) survive and where quite common. the lack of yellow would indicate a possible shortage of that color wool or just a an aversion by that branch of service for yellow kepis. either way the mass market of reanacting supplies come from out of the country and are not that accurate.
