Last year, AOL shut down John Weaver's fine web page on Virginia in the Civil War. The page had listed Virginia units by type, and by county.
Did anyone save these data before AOL shut down the page? I would dearly love to have the data and I wish I had saved Weaver's extensive work before AOL shut it down.
Specifically, I am looking for which units were formed in Montgomery County, but I would like to have the list for all the counties, if someone has saved that.
