Capt John Cussons Aide de Camp Gen. E. M. Law

Cussons captured Gettysburg early morning of 3rd July, whilst reccenoitring Round Tops. At about the same time Capt Francis Lewis Price, AAG Robertsons Texas Brigade, was also captured whilst checking positions of the Texas Brigade line, at the base of the Round Tops. In the history of the 118th. Pa Vol Infantry a reference is made to the capture of an unnamed staff officer. If possible I'd like to establish if this was either Cussons or Price. If it was the latter, what unit captured Cussons? Supposedly, he was supposed to have watched Picket's charge from the top of Big Round Top. Were any confederate prisoners actually held there temporarily, or would they have been sent to the rear on capture?
