Yes that is true. These particular units were pretty much intertwined as to history and places of service. All 3 served together in West VA, southwest VA, and all were assigned to the Army of Tennessee at the same time. I had ancestors in the 63rd VA and Jeff, who is aclose friend of mine, was very helpful in tracking down my ancestors.
