My great-grandfather was a Surgeon in the CSA, often stationed in Staunton in the latter part of the war, after having been exchanged. i am interested in finding a description of significant hospitals in Staunton from 1862 to the end of the war. I am partularly interested in information relating to the American Hotel hospital with dates of service as a hospital, numbers of patients and doctors, context in the hospital system at the time, etc. Thank you in advance.
