I will be attending my family reunion in Pearisburg, VA in June. I am trying to find out if there were any battles or encampments around Angels Roost near Pearisburg,VA.. That is where my families property is and I have been metal detecting for 45 years and have never hunted Civil War sites before. The property has given up indian arrow heads and there was a natural spring house there and small pond and I have been told there were Civil War Camps around there. Iam also the Co-Founder of the New Mexico Treasure Hunters Association and our Motto is "Saving History One Piece at a Time". We are also have a web site anyone can join.
