my ggg grandfather was killed in the area of the unfinished railroad on aug 29, 1862 at second manassas. does anyone know where the dead were taken from the railroad cut or were any soldiers buried in the cut itself? his name is joel spikes and he served with the 26th georgia. any information will be helpful. thanks.
