In Magnolia Cemetery, Augusta, Ga. is a Confederate section with 236 interments, all of which appear to have been made during the war or immdediatlely thereafter. The graves are marked with small marble headstones, giving the name of the soldier and (usually) the state from which he served. Only five graves are unknowns; however, a significant number of stones give the name of the soldier, but not his state.
