I'm looking for information on my great great grandfather Giles M. Adams and his brother Miles F. Adams (abt. 1843 - 28 Aug 1862). Miles was killed at second Manassas and served as a private in the 4th VA INF Co. E. Did any of the men receive proper burial or did they all rot on the field? I found a record related to pension for Giles M. Adams in VA with his widow Mildred Adams receiving widow's pension. I wonder if he served in the 4th with his brother.
