Re: Capt. McCann of Gary's Brigade
In Response To: Capt. McCann of Gary's Brigade ()

I would nominate Lt. Charles McCann, who was on Gary's staff as Lt. and Drillmaster from 16 Dec 64, and present with Gary's command in January 65. McCann had been a member of E/3d Va., later ADC to BG Robert Pryor, where he had his horse shot and killed at Battle of Kelly's Farm in Jan. 63, and was later ordnance officer and inspector of artillery for Micah Jenkins' Brigade and wounded at Plymouth and Peebles Farm. His service record is quite extensive and can be found, temporarily, on-line at footnote.com. in the Compiled Service Records of Confederate General and Staff Officers, and Nonregimental Enlisted Men.
