I believe Rhett's Battery is the Brooks (South Carolina) Artillery. At Gettysburg this battery consisted of four 12-pounder Howitzers and was led by Second Lieutenant Stephen C. Gilbert. At that time the battery was in the battalion of Colonel Edward Porter Alexander of the CSA First Corps, commanded by General James Longstreet.
