Thanks for your response. The name of the person I am looking for is John Sisson. In his military records the last name is spelled correctly but there could be some variations of the spelling as I have seen. He was in the 26th Alabama Infantry, Company D and he died August 5, 1862. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
