My great great great grandfather was a union soldier. He was from Scott Co. Tn. He joined the Co. G 2nd Regiment Tennessee Infantry on 01-08-1862. He was captured in the battle of Rogersville, Tn. His unit was sent to Belle Isle. He died in the Confederate States Military Hospital for prisoners on 02-16-1864 from diarrhea. I have no way to know where he may be buried. I know that alot of them were buried together. His name is Hiram Sexton. He may have died in hospital # 21. I read that is where the prisoners from Tennessee were taken. Can you help me with the direction I need to go from here. I sent to the National Archives for his military records. Any thing you can tell me then it would be greatly appreciated. I have done a lot of research on this and I am at the end. Thank you for your time.
