The Virginia in the Civil War Message Board

1st NC Infantry (Stueart's Brigade)

Hello. Matt Gardiner here again. I recently made a post requesting info on the 50th Virginia Infantry. I am also researching the 1st North Carolina Infantry Regiment of George 'Maryland' Stueart's brigade, 2nd corp, for the same time period (Overland campaign).
As with the 50th Va. I'm trying to compile a list of fatalaties for the time period may 5 - june 10 1864. From various online sources I have:
Co.B sgt. Daniel M Carleton (mw spots.), Co.C pvts. William Croom and John Hinnant (both kia spots.), Co.D 1lt William D Howard (kia wild.), Co.F pvt. Edward P Johnson (dow spots) and pvt John R Marshbone (kia wild), Co.G sgt. Marcus F Fagan, cpl. Elias Leary, and pvt. Nathan A Lee (all kia spots), and Co.K cpl. Warrick Hockaday and pvt. George W Clarke (both kia spots).
If anybody can provide me with further names of men who were killed or died of wounds sustained between the battle of the wilderness up to and including the battle of Cold Harbour, I'd be very greatful.
In addition, I'd like to know the nicknames for the regiments companies, and who the commander of the regiment was during the campaign. Thanks in advance everyone.

Regards,
Matt
