The Virginia in the Civil War Message Board

Re: 50th Virginia Infantry Co E

Hello Mr Chapla,

The 'Military History Online Civil war Geneology Database' also has a posting saying that John W Wade was believed killed at the Wilderness or later at spotsylvania. The posting was by a Blair Miller. Possibly a descendant. You can email Blair Miller directly from the website if you wish.

As for my interest in the 50th, It's mainly the fact that it saw so much service in so many theatres of the war. More than most Regiments in the ANV. Including the Overland Campaign and the 1864 Shenandoah Valley Campaign which are my main areas of interest in studying/reading about the American Civil War.

Look forward to your next post.

Warmest Regards,
Matt
