I am unable to locate a copy of your book about the 50th, and wonder if you can provide any civil war service information on my ancestor that served in the 50th VA Infantry, Company I. His name was Gordon Jefferson Thornton. He lived in Pulaski VA and according to pension records, he enlisted around 1862. He does not exist in the National Archives records, I only find him on Ancestry.com records. Thanks so much.
