I have an ancestor that was in Company B (Caroline Light Dragoons) of the 9th Virginia Cav. I found information by looking into the infantry Reg. from Caroline and Stafford Co. Early in the war, The 9th was on pickett duty along the R'hanic River with local Infantry. I also read an interview of a vet. in an old History of Caroline County that gave some information about movements of Co. B. Look into old county histories from Stafford Co. and see what you might find.
