Can anyone help me with some informtaion on photographs held by the National Archives? In the series The Image of War: 1861-1865 there are some non-mainstream photos that I would like to get copies of. Also I wonder if what other photos may be there that have not been widely published. Is there anywhere online that has an index of all the CW photograph holdings of the NA? or is there a certain place I can email and request a search for images (say for a certain regiment)? I have tried to search online but seem to get lost in the NA website. Any information on how to find out what photos the NA holds, preferably without a visit, would be great. Thanks!
