I'm not real sure what you're looking for but My Great-great grandad served in the 15th West Va. infantry.He fought in several battles and when he was discharged he held the rank of Sgt.I have his diary he kept and tin-type photo of him.There were no real hero stories but he was never in trouble for anything.He made it to Appomattox and saw the surrender.I believe he served with honor and endured many hardships.
