Kelley's attack on Imboden's camp Nov. 9, 1862

I am interested in finding out if the Hardy County (W.) Va. village of Peru was the site of an attack by Kelley's forces on the camp of Imboden's 1st Va. Partisan Rangers. One northern source claims it was at Lockwood's Gap, another at Stump's Mill. Peru fiits the site as to distance south of Moorefield and similar topography to what the Union soldiers described. Land records indicate that prior to the war a Stump family did own a mill in the vicinity.
