I believe this is the Randall McCoy of the 45th Virginia Battalion

The unfiled papers also note Randolph served in Beckley's regiment who I believe is the Lt Col found in the 45th.

State Line]/Company C, Beckley's Regiment, arrested in Pike County, Eastern Ky/Va., July 7/8, 1863, arrived at Camp Chase, Ohio prison camp July 20, sent to Kemper Barracks, transferred to Camp Douglas August 24, discharged June 16, 1865, description: resident of Pike County, Ky. dark complexion, dark hair, grey eyes, 6', remarks - Louisa, Ky.

M347. Unfiled Papers and Slips Belonging in Confederate Compiled Service Records" may contain information on soldiers not found in service records.
