Ruffner, regarding their VA regimental series, I found additional info which noted your ancestor; Pvt James W.Riley was captured 11-8-1862 and sent to Old Capitol, where he was exchanged on 11-18-1862. Later notes say he was paroled Winchester 5-2-1865 at age 33 ,5 foot 10 inches,fair complexion,,dark brown hair,hazel eyes,res.New Baltimore Fuuquier Co.
