I suspect he was buried at the Oakwood Confederate Cemetery, see http://www.mdgorman.com/Other_Sites/oakwood_cemetery.htm
for information on the cemetery and also a tab for a map of the city hospitals/cemeteries.

There was a group working on identifying the some 15,000 unknown soldiers buried there. I do not have information on a contact.

Benjamin H. Woodson

Residence Goochland County VA; a 21 year-old Farm Hand.
Enlisted on 6/6/1861 at Goochland Court House, VA as a Private.
On 6/6/1861 he mustered into VA Goochland Light Artillery
He died of disease on 1/24/1863 at Howard's Grove Hospital, Richm
(Died of small pox)
He was listed as:
* Detailed 2/13/1862 Cumberland City, TN (Detailed as a wagoner)
Promotions:
* Corpl 11/20/1862
(B.H. Woodson, father, filed claim for pay and allowances
on 05/20/63.)
