Scott, that is correct by all accounts he died in Mercer County, West Virginia. However, his wife Mary, was buried at Crown Hill Cemetery in Clifton Forge,Va. in 1888. They family probably wanted to bury him next to his wife or perhaps that was one of his last wishes.
