Re: 50th Virginia Infantry Co E

My John W. Everett born Abt. 1832 at Amherst Co. VA, married (m. 02 Dec 1860) to Elizabeth Frances Moorman, b. 01 June 1836, d. Abt. 1905. They had two sons, Samuel J. Everett, b. 1862 and John William Everett b. 23 Dec 1864, both Amherst Co. VA.

Elizabeth remarried to Lewis B. Wright. She had another son, George Austin Wright, b. Oct 1869 so I figured that John W. Everett must have left or died between 1864-1868. That's how I decided to check the confederate solider records to find him. My main concern is that there were several John William Everetts in Lynchburg VA, am I getting the right person?

I do not have any information on his parents so I do not know if he was born in Ireland. Whether he was KIA or missing, I know that he never came home at all.
