Their is no reference to service under Bartow in his records, perhaps the rations notation to the Dept. of S. C., Ga. & Fla. refers to Bartow's Georgia command.

Capt. Ephraim G. Alburtis, Capt., Co. B, 1st Regiment Virginia Light Artillery,* (Pendleton's Regiment), Company enlisted April 19, 1861, mustered into service of the State at Harper's Ferry, Va. May 3, records show receipt of rations July 25, 27, & August 1, 1861 Dept. of S. C., Ga. & Fla., signed a requisition for six tents, etc. August 12, 1861 at Manassas, Va., submitted requisition of rations for the period July 18-21, 1861 at Camp near Winchester, at Manassas August 15, at Manassas September 5, in Camp at Centerville December 31, 1861, located at Manassas January 10, 1862, Surgeon certifies officer in bad health, not likely seen soon so as to be fit for service, Surgeon, 9th Georgia Regiment, 2nd Brig. 2nd Corp. A. P. January 9, 1862, Camp of the "Wise Artillery," near Centerville, January 12, 1862 tenders resignation noting his health and that his command will go out of service April 19, 1862 upon the expiration of their term of service

* An attempt was made to organize this regiment during the first part of 1861. It was not recognized by the A. & I. G. O. and appears to have been disbanded prior to April 26, 1862, when Company B was reorganized as Captain Brown's Battery Virginia Light Artillery
