Here is what I have on the Terry's in K/50th Va. If you can add to what I have it would be much appreciated -- dates of birth, death; details of war service, as well as pre and postwar life. The William I have listed does not appear to be the William M. that you have and would like to get more information on your William M., if you beleive he served in the 50th Va. The reason I say that the William I have is different than your William M. stems from several things. William M Terry is listed in the 1860 Patrick Co. Census as being 25, farmer and married to Mary J., 23. The William I have was not married in 1860, according to his widow's pension application; his widow's name is Rosa E. or Rosey E.; he was a prewar wheelright, not farmer.

865/99/99 Dd "in Ohio....The letter I received that he was dead did not state from what cause," wrote widow Rosey E. Terry in 1903 [33c, Patrick]
903/05/18 Rosa E. Terry, 59, widow of William Terry, K/50Va, filed pension app in Patrick Co. Father was Abe Chappell; she married Terry in April 1862 [33c, Patrick]
