Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am looking for primary source material (i.e. letters, diaries, journals, reminiscences, newspaper articles, and other postbellum soldier accounts) for the following Confederate organizations for the time period of September 1 - October 30, 1863:

Organizations of Colonel George Baird Hodge's Brigade, no relation to myself:
27th Virginia Battalion Mounted Rifles (a.k.a. Trigg's Battalion Partisan Rangers)
Battery of Mountain Howitzers (commanded by Robert H. Logan and Ballard P. Deyerle). This battery was organic to the 27th Virginia Battalion and not a separate organization.
