From a map in the book "Great Maps of the Civil War" by William J. Miller, there is a map dated 1864, of Dinwiddie County, Virgina, that shows a "Michaels Farm" on the Boydton Plank Road just before the intersection of Cox Road. It is just on the south side of the creek that runs parallel to the Cox Road at that point.

I believe I purchased the book at Barnes and Noble a few years ago, and it should still be in print.
