I have not found any suriviving examples of what any of these units may have originally had. Majority of the other units serving in the western region in the first year of the war were carrying various homemade versions of the CS First National.

Ive seen two different types being used by reenactment or decendant associations contributed to the 63rd Va. One was a marked Hardee pattern flag, the other a carbon copy of what the 54th Va had later in the war, which was a unit ID AOT rectangular pattern style of the ANV battle flag. Im not immedately aware of any actual historical provenance on either of these two to fully support either.

There are at least one known surviving flag for each of the 29th, 50th and 54th Va flags. Unfortunately All of these were entirely different late war issue types for each. So no real collective same issue type pattern amongst them to make a reasonable assumption of what the 63rd might have actually had.
