My 4th great grandfather also died in Howard's Grove Hospital. He enlisted into the 4th Fl battalion in 1863 which was later consolidated into the 11th Fl Regiment. He ended up falling ill late June 1864. He died a few weeks later, July 21, 1864 at Howard's Grove. I have called all the cemeteries in the area but no one has him. It's like he disappeared with death. If anyone has other suggestions I would love to find him. His name was John J Holland (1820-1864). I have lots of information on him and his family, including 8 pages of his service record. Thanks for any help!
