Mr. Webmaster:
Thank you so much for your clarification on the purpose of this message board. In particular, thank you for admitting that you have "very strong personal feelings about issues such as the display of the Confederate Battle Flag, the naming of schools and military installations after Confederate figures, etc." The key words here are "very strong personal feelings." I once noted that you seemed to have a (perhaps subconscious?) bias toward the Confederate side. I am very glad to see that you now admit the same. One who possesses very strong personal feelings is by definition not objective.

Hats off to you and to Mr. Pitt (in a previous post) for admitting your bias for all to see and understand. I can only hope that others will examine their own minds and admit to their own lack of objectivity. By the way, I have no strong feelings about the Confederate flag at all. By local votes and decisions it is either retained or removed. Neither one upsets me or elates me.

I look forward to pointing out other cases of bias as they may occur (at least until I am removed from the board).
